ICT in Schools - Grenada: Activity 1 Discussion

ICT in Schools - Grenada: Activity 1 Discussion:

ICT enhances learning and as educators we are encouraged to integrate ICT in the classroom.
Students are all into technology but how can we as teachers integrate ICT into the content areas of our lessons. With limited and very scarce resources it would be a challenge .The discussion whether or not it is” impossible for a developing nation to compete with developed nations in the field of ICT integration in schools” It was indeed a sign of hope and encouragement that colleagues think it is possible.. It is generally agreed that developed nations have greater access to funding needed for ICT integration than do developing nations. However, it may be surprising to note that there are still many schools in developed countries that have not yet integrated ICT in to education and funding is the biggest challenge .Funding for ICT integration initiatives in developed countries might be limited. Educators in our schools who are interested in increasing ICT usage in education have already demonstrated significant creativity in the face of limited resources with the appropriate training for teachers’ .ICT integration in the schools of developing nations is indeed possible
The readings in Activity 1 help me to evaluate the effective use of technology into the classroom
thus, making the classroom a learner friendly and rich environment .ICT integration in the classroom can open new and excited avenues for our students who will become great thinkers and creative innovators for the 21st century.
