ICT use in Schools
Secondary schools in Grenada have computer laboratory because information technology is been taught. The Grenville Secondary School is no exception .The school has some working computers there is also a smart board and a projector .However these equipment is only utilized for IT instruction .There is internet connection only in the lab and in the Secretary’s office .A few teachers have their laptop computers. Some teachers would carry their personal laptop to school. Information is been sought for research in addition, the equipment in the lab is also used in preparations for terminal examinations and for research purposes .A very small group of students group of students use the Lab to do their IT at the CXC examination .In addition, some of us would use the internet for research and literacy studies. Hopefully, with the advent of this course the integration of ICT would expose students to positive learning using technology thus, enhancing learning in our various classes to arouse students’ curiosity and creativity.
